   Patera was recalled to the NHL for the first time in March, 2022 when the Vegas Golden Knights lost Laurent Brossoit to an injury. The Knights were already without Robin Lehner and Patera dressed as backup to Logan Thompson. After two games as Thompson's backup, Lehner returned and Patera was no longer needed. 

   Patera dressed for four more NHL games with the Golden Knights in April, 2022 when Robin Lehner was sidelined. Patera again dressed behind Logan Thompson.
