When the Philadelphia Flyers unexpectedly lost goalie Carter Hart to an eye infection they recalled Ustimenko on an emergency basis from the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phamtons. Ustimenko, who had spent most of the season in the ECHL, dressed as Martin Jones' backup for two NHL games.
