John Voss

2 WHA Games

January 28, 1976 Cleveland Crusaders vs Cincinnati Stingers. 6-4 win.
January 30, 1976 Cleveland Crusaders vs Phoenix Roadrunners. 4-4 tie.

When Gerry Cheevers left the Cleveland Crusaders during the 1975-76 WHA season, the team was left scrambling to fill their net. With backup Bob Whidden recovering from a minor injury, the Crusaders brought up John Voss from the Greensboro Generals to dress as a spare goalie. The Crusaders acted quickly to fill the starting goalie void left by Cheevers and on top of Voss, they recalled Jacques Caron while also signing Cam Newton and Bob Johnson. When the dust settled, there was no room left for Voss and he was sent back to the minors after a short stint with the Crusaders.
