Bill Woodyatt

1 NHL Game

November 22, 1970 Philadelphia Flyers vs Detroit Red Wings. 2-4 loss.

Bill Woodyatt was recalled by the Philadelphia Flyers late November, 1970 when Doug Favell was sidelined with twisted right knee, an old injury he had aggravated. Woodyatt was playing his first year of pro hockey and had attended Philadelphia's 1970 training camp. He dressed as backup to Bernie Parent for a home game against the Detroit Red Wings. The Flyers were set to play again a couple days later and with Favell sill injured, they opted to send Woodyatt back to the Eastern Hockey League and recalled a more experienced netminder in Bobby Taylor from the AHL's Quebec Aces to backup Parent.
