Bobby Segin

1 NHL Game

January 6, 2017 Florida Panthers vs Nashville Predators. 2-1 win.

Roberto Luongo was schedule to start Florida's January 6th, 2016 game against the Nashville Predators but suffered an upper body injury during the warm ups, throwing backup goalie James Reimer into the starting position and leaving the Panthers without someone to sit behind him. They turned to their ticket sales account executive, Bobby Segin, to fill the role. Segin had played net at the University of Connecticut and occasionally served as Florida's practise goalie. "It was pretty exciting knowing at any moment you can hop in the net and do whatever you can to help the team so it was fun to get a win, too. I like to think I'm 1-0 now," said Segin after the game.
