Roy Schultz

1 NHL Game

December 10, 1980 Boston Bruins vs Quebec Nordiques. 6-4 win.

December, 1980 the Boston Bruins recalled Roy Schultz from the Springfield Indians to serve as backup goalie to Rogie Vachon. The Bruins needed a backup for one game while Jim Craig attended his uncle's funeral. At the time, Roy Schultz was in the company of Marco Baron and Mike Moffat as the top Bruins goaltending prospects so the team would have also wanted to see him practice at the NHL level.

Schultz was signed by the Boston Bruins March 4, 1980 as a free agent after spending two years with the University of Wisconsin. He was named a 1980 NCAA West All-American with Wisconsin. In the 1970s as a junior player in Saskatchewan, Schultz had been named SJHL MVP with Swift Current.

Schultz moved back to Swift Current after hanging up his skates. He moved into the banking sector and is currently a senior investment advisor.
