January 27, 1995 Pittsburgh Penguins vs Ottawa Senators. 5-4 win.

  In 1992 Olow "Olie" Sundstrom made his way over to North America as an undrafted free agent. Just months later, December, 1993 the Swedish goalie was signed by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He spent the entire 1993/1994 season playing in the IHL for Pittsburgh's affiliate, the Cleveland Lumberjacks. 

  The 1994/1995 NHL season started late January as there was a lockout that cancelled the first half of the year. Olie Sundstrom was a member of the Penguins for their first five games of the season. He dressed as Ken Wregget's backup. After five games with the Penguins, all wins, Sundstrom was sent to the minors in favor of goalie Philippe DeRouville, who had been Sundstrom's teammate in Cleveland.

   Sundstrom toiled away in the North America minor leagues for a number of years before returning to Sweden. He's notable for scoring a goal in the ECHL, one of only a handful of goalies who have accomplished such a feet. He was known as an incredible stickhandler during his playing days.

   In 2013 Sundstrom accepted a position as assistant coach with Vasby IK, a Swedish Division 1 team.
