Jon Gustafson

1 NHL Game

April 15, 1993 Toronto Maple Leafs vs Chicago Blackhawks. 3-2 loss.

A Colorado College alumni, Jon Gustafson was signed as a free agent by the Toronto Maple Leafs after he had completed his economics degree. He spent most of his time with the organization playing for their ECHL affiliate in Richmond.

Gustafson got the opportunity of a lifetime in the last game of the 1992/1993 NHL regular season. He was recalled by Toronto to dress as Felix Potvin's backup. Gustafson had this to say about the highlight of his hockey career,  “a lot of people would say that I just dressed and didn’t play, but the fact of the matter is I got there and I think that’s probably my best achievement."
