1 NHL Game

February 3, 1982 Buffalo Sabres vs Boston Bruins. 2-5 loss.

In the 1980 World Juniors tournament Jari Paavola was named top goaltender as he helped Team Finland capture a silver medal. He caught the attention of NHL teams and was drafted by the Sabres that summer.

When Jacques Cloutier suffered a broken collar bone early February, 1982 the Sabres were forced to recall Finnish netminder Jari Paavola from the Flint Generals. Paavola served as Don Edwards' backup.
